‘nef flats 163’ by turkish architectural office autoban is a shortlisted entry into this year’s world architecture festival in the future residential projects category. by placing the multilayered and irregular form structure into a conscious system, the new concept for a high-rise building creates an architectural language inspired by the city of istanbul.

targeting the city’s young working professionals, the design aims to balance out the hectic pace of the residents by integrating a garden on each level as circulation. vertical space is opened up in an atrium-like setting, putting on display the collective activities of the inhabitants in the open corridors. the gardens feature both personal-use and common-use areas.
