positioned on the edge of a steep slope, ‘casa alta’ by mexican studio AS/D asociación de diseño is conceived as stacked volume that is designed to take advantage of its natural topography. located in mexico, the structure serves as a lookout point and offers views directly over a valley that is densely populated with vegetation. subtly inserted into the land, the weekend house has the minimum footprint required to allocate its basic needs, and consists of a 6 by 6 meter module across three levels. the perforated façade features an abstracted image of a tree to help it blend into its surroundings.
