sky-bridge in china by Aedas loops an ecosystem of four towers

in zhuhai, china the architecture firm Aedas has designed a sky bridge as part of a multi-tower mixed-use development project for the hengqin CRCC plaza. the bridge acts as a connector between four different buildings, taking the shape of a loop to offer space for offices, retail and leisure facilities as well as outdoor terraces.

Aedas has designed the bridge to enhance integration, connection and communication, thus creating a dynamic and vibrant ecosystem between the buildings and work places. the four towers are divided into the following: one for a headquarters office, with the other three with leasable office space.

the positioning of the towers are designed to take full advantage of the site and surroundings. the two taller grade-a office towers on the northeast and southeast side at road intersections that increases the land values with views. a central business district is the epicenter of vast greening, illustrated through a landscaped plaza and rooftop gardens, which ‘creates a three-dimensional vertical landscape for the future [district].‘
the project is set to be completed by 2022
