‘lee’s house’ or ‘L’ for short, is a single family residence located in pangyo, an outlying village near seoul, south korea. the home was designed by architect joongkeun kim of korean studio aandd. the project’s concept is physically represented in a series of 11 independent levels, each differentiating and connecting the different lifestyles of each family member.

sometimes divided, sometimes together, each level is accessed via a winding staircase centrally located in the home. the identifying element serves as the single most important feature, and allows inhabitants to move freely between all interior areas. the modern, tidy interior contrasts pleasantly with the brick exterior, solidifying the concept of harmony and diversity throughout the entire home.
