designer's own words:
These 3 works are abstract images about the issue that I concerned recently.
Many adults accused the student who talked to the minister of Education in Legislative Yuan is impolite according to medias, and ignored his citizenship. "Because he is a student, he shouldn't talk to elder like that way...." Many people's thinking follow the Confucian culture regardless of student's claim and justness.
So, I'm deeply wondering that what is "polite"? Who defines it???
There's many squares in the 1st image. They can be each person or something. And the blue lines mean authority that violently across the frame. If everything's line up and ordered that is polite? I can't make sure... and so depressed to most of adults in Taiwan. These matter represented that Taiwan is not yet a really democratic country. In my 2nd image, blue is primary color. Blue can tell all of my mood. Complicated irregular white lines are below, looking something like the deep sea. Some darker and brighter stuff float. I thought they can regard as tears or something gloomy. However, we should keep working hard. Since we are all a part of the world. Like 3rd image, we may be a small dot in the universe. We exist with others... We may be shiny in other's eyes. That's why we should pay great effort for our future life.
polite: straight and ordered ? mood: a crying riveruniverse: one of us inside
