Office architectural specialists Mute revamp the work environment by developing a construction-free, modular, room-in-room system. Named OmniRoom, the sophisticated solution facilitates adaptable spaces by allowing for quick re-configuration offering users the chance to either choose from 100 predesigned options or create their own fully personalized, prefabricated room.

There are two main ways companies can utilize OmniRoom’s technology; users can choose from 100 fully equipped ‘Rooms’ or shape their own tailor-made constructions. For the first option, Mute composes predesigned, closed or semi-open areas and space dividers, to serve any purpose from workstations to lounges, and coffee rooms to conference rooms. The latter option consists of 13 prefabricated modules that can be rearranged in countless ways. Each construction and room was designed by a team of expert architects, and can be placed separately or combined to give rise to multifunctional and customizable hubs.

Once a design has been finalized to suit a business, OmniRooms patented assembly technology makes an otherwise difficult process quick and easy. A click-in system allows binding and disassembling modules freely with no tools, giving possibilities to large constructions, and smooth expansion. One square meter can be built in 20 minutes by three people and if an office re-locates, the lightweight aluminum structure is easily dismantled, transported, and rebuilt in a new place, making it much more sustainable than traditional methods.

Along with the OmniRoom system, Mute has complemented the design with a dedicated furniture set. The collection of wall-mountable furniture includes 30 elements, such as desks and tables, cabinets, shelves, and accessories. The pieces have been designed with efficiency at the focus, maximizing every inch of space while giving the construction a coherent, stylish look. The concept is a green alternative to the rigid, non-moveable plasterboard constructions that still are common practice in the modern world of office design.
