the nizam bar stools pair by Aparna from india
designer's own words:
THE NIZAM BAR STOOLS™ (Pair) are a set of 2 original bar stools. They depict the majesty of ornately carved antique pieces of furniture found in olden Havelis while having an ultra modern purpose- that of being bar area furniture! The stools have been designed as mirror images of each other to look complete as a set. The Nizam Bar Stools™ are comfortable and sturdy and have the elevated seat height preferred for bar area seating. This set has been made on commission to match the decorative back- lit trellis in a home also designed by the designer. The exquisite hand carving harks back to the days of old, when gilded and heavily carved furniture occupied the Nizams’ ‘Havelis’. The designer’s effort is to bring this era of opulence, magnificence and luxury alive within the modern ‘Bar’ of a contemporary home!
