Preciosa Lighting’s dynamic Crystal Beat installation demonstrates a masterful manipulation of light to move in tune with music at Euroluce for Milan Design Week 2023. The decorative lighting exhibit comprises a three-dimensional sound system synchronized with a spatial crystal light centerpiece. It gives the impression of ‘seeing’ sound to visitors.

Preciosa Lighting’s creative technological solution

Michael Vasku and Andreas Klug, Creative Directors of the Czech Bohemian crystal lighting manufacturers, designed a technological solution so that the light and music could react to each other. The exhibition marks the launch of Preciosa Lighting’s brand-new Signature Design, Crystal Grid. The elegant clean lines of the hand-blown bubbled crystal tubes incorporate the light source within, while suspending in a grid structure. The modular design of Crystal Grid allows it to be built up or down, enveloping any sized space.

‘Light and sound go hand in hand in all our installations, as they are essential to the creation of atmosphere.’ explains Preciosa Lighting creative director Michael Vasku. Andreas Klug adds, ‘we want to create more than just beautiful lighting; our passion and vision are to connect with people, bring memorable moments, and create opportunities for people to smile.’

The uniformed structure of Crystal Grid is orchestrated as a large-scale installation as Crystal Beat. It demonstrates Preciosa Lighting’s commitment to creating evocative lighting features through artisanal, sustainable means. As visitors enter the space, the artwork immerses visitors with ethereal feelings. Guests can move freely or follow the rhythm of light, as the crystal centerpiece synchronizes with the sound system.
