designer's own words:
modular radiator 'add-on' has been developed
for italian radiator manufacturer tubes. although the work has a utilitarian aspect in the function of a house, this heating unit is also a modular sculpture.
the adaptable element has a 12 x 24 cm (4.5 x 9 inches) base system to which smaller components may be added. with the four-armed parts,
the surface area is maximized in order to better distribute high temperatures while the aluminum material from which the piece takes its form
allows for rapid heat exchange.
the lightweight structure boasts an in-wall support system which makes possible the radiator to function as a partition element as well.
in order to maintain control over the layout of rooms in both residential and commercial spaces, the manual and balancing valves are separate
from the heating element, enclosed in an inbuilt group which can be placed up to six meters (twenty feet) from the unit.
