Conductive Orchestra creates a novel user experience to compose / conduct music. It aims at making music production a more intuitive process, and also making it more fun to watch someone do or perform. We wish to see this as the future of live VJing and music composition for an audience. It is an interesting and intuitive way of music layering and an audiovisual treat for the audience.
Conductive Orchestra basically utilizes the X-Box Kinect sensor and allows the user to interact with it using hand gestures with the shapes that are projected using the 3D mapping technology. These shapes are in turn associated with one specific part of a musical composition. Thus the user can turn on and off different shapes and effectively control and compose the music.
