At the 2023 Tokyo Auto Salon, Japanese tuner Damd unveiled a kit that transforms the Suzuki Every, a popular urban minivan in Japan, into a camper. Called ‘Little D.,’ the body kit includes a fascia modeled after the classic Land Rover Defender, as well as a set of front fenders, a small bonnet, a grille, an off-road bumper, and headlights. The kit also comes with a rooftop tent, complete with PIAA LEDs and holders for tools and additional equipment.

a defender-style camper for outdoor enthusiasts

Damd is already known for converting other Suzuki models (like the ‘Jimny’) into mini Defenders. In fact, the ‘Little D.’ marks the third Defender-style body kit presented by the Japanese tuner. This time, the team has fully redesigned the front, unveiling a black bumper, round headlights with additional round blinkers, a large rectangular grille, and a small bonnet with profile folds. The design pays homage to the classic Defender, offering a contemporary design that still includes a touch of vintage. The minivan is powered by a 660-cc, 12-valve, three-cylinder gasoline engine that can produce a maximum of 63 horsepower. Combining looks, functionality, and high performance, the minivan promises to take Japanese campers ‘wherever, whenever’. After all, as Damd mentions, the kit is designed specifically for adventurous outdoor enthusiasts.

The Tokyo Auto Salon, considered one of the largest motor shows in the world, is back for this year’s edition. From January 13 to 15, 2023, the show will welcome car enthusiasts to the Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex in Chiba City. Guests will be able to find a wide range of modified and tuned vehicles. The fair includes a selection of customized models, from sleek race cars and luxurious mini vehicles to retro concept cars and solar-powered caravans.
