With the increasing nationwide popularity of Korean baby products, COMMU is looking to become a game-changing baby head protector, merging together fashion and style with safety and comfort. Developed by personal safety product startup ORND, COMMU challenges design flaws of existing baby helmets on the market, which are often bulkier and stuffier, to create a more comfortable, lightweight and attractive design. Its distinct Y-structure, integrated with a ventilation air mesh and adjustable sizing straps, not only protects the head from bumps and tumbles, but also offers protection from developing positional skull deformity.

a simple Y-Structure for maximum safety and comfort

The COMMU baby head protector starts with a simple Y-shape which helps to disperse impact and protect the head, while still maintaining a natural, symmetrical curve to gently mold a round head shape for infants. With ease of wear and convenience being a key factor in baby products, Korean startup ORND uses an air mesh material to help cool the head while its two-stage cascading ventilation structure creates better air flow even during wear. Lighter than two disposable diapers, it weighs only 60 grams thanks to the simplified Y-structure.

Most baby products are highly limited in period of use, largely due to the fast development in infants and toddlers. Addressing this, the COMMU baby head protector is adjustable in two ways using the velcro on the back of the helmet, allowing the product to grow alongside its wearer. Also, to commemorate growth and important milestones, the vegetable leather finish on the label and chin strap ages naturally over time, lending a luxurious accent to the product.

Recently launched on Korean crowdfunding site Wadiz, COMMU is now available to be purchased in six different color variations: Mustard Yellow, Carrot Orange, Picnic Green, Ocean Blue, Midnight Grey, and Milky Pink.
