To celebrate its 110th birthday, Italian automotive design firm Bertone has unveiled the GB110, ‘the world’s first hypercar that can run on fuel made from plastic waste.’ Built to prioritize high performance and sleek design, the innovative car combines flowing lines and modern shapes with 1100 hp of power and 1100 Nm of maximum torque. With only 33 units expected to reach the market, the limited edition vehicles promise top speed, pioneering ergonomics, and superior comfort, while conveying an artistic flair at the turn of every corner.

running on plastic waste fuel and italian charm

Perhaps the most unique feature of Bertone’s BG110 is that it is designed to burn fuel made out of plastic waste, as previously mentioned. To achieve this, the Italian design firm has partnered with Select Fuel, a company that has developed a patented technology to convert polycarbonate materials into renewable fuel.
