The idea was to work with traditional women artisans of Kerala, who makes sleeping mats out of Screwpine natural fiber known as Pandanus. Earlier these sleeping mates were used by local people but mates has been replaced by Modern furniture. Screwpine is abundantly available on the cost of sea at this place. To keep the ancient knowledge alive i designed laptop carrier for the global market. Traditional handweaving has been used to make these bags and the key feature of this technique is there is no need for further material to joint or stitch. Screwpine leaves are interspersed to complete the bag.
