symmetrical volume in white nestles around a statement pool

Beachfront resort villa ‘Santo by the Sea’ by Pham Huu Son adorns Van Phong Bay in Central Vietnam. Drawing reference from Mediterranean architecture, the retreat displays its form in white color and brushy texture. The volume shapes symmetrically around a central large swimming pool and maintains openness towards the sea view. The mass is hollowed by arched doorways overlooking the body of water and letting natural light spread throughout the interior space. The curved frames are painted in a playful yellow tone for a distinct look.

The interior maintains aesthetic harmony with the rest of the structure using the same hues and textures in a minimal and sophisticated design. For the outdoor tiling, the team chose geometrical patterns in white and blue. The circulation in the villa is achieved through outdoor hallways and staircases benefitting from the natural sea landscape of Van Phong Bay. Suitable for friendly gatherings, the top floor arranges a large living room in a separate fully functional zone. Guests can enjoy the calm ambiance of the common space and the pleasant views through the big openings.
