This project is primarily studying an interesting phenomenon of Asians – love taking pictures of dishes before eating it. Even food is getting cold, many Asians prefer taking one more picture of it – This is how much they love taking pictures of food. We analyze and discuss the reasons behind such a phenomenon and conclude with the following points 1) They are interested in sharing wonderful things with friends and family on internet, and eating delicious food is one of such wonderful things fall in to this category 2) They just want to show off the good food they are enjoying 3) They just want to preserve the good memory of enjoying good food.
After careful study, we found that the third reason – preserving good memory of eating delicious food is the primary reason. In contrast to the past, people nowadays like to preserve good memory on internet. This is very different from memory keeping methodology in the past, such as keeping a diary. This conclusion inspires us to investigate potential technology that allows us to preserve memory more comprehensively.
We also discover that modern technology is primarily focusing on recording visual and hearing memory. There is very limited study on how one can preserve odor. So how can we design the experience of sharing good memory of the smell of good food with our friends? How can we preserve such a good experience for the future?
We are proposing to apply electronic nose and ismell device, two devices that are primarily used in medical and food industry, in our daily live. With combination of these two technologies, we are aiming at designing a recorder that can record visual, acoustic, and odor signals. Such an invention will allow us to package our memory wholly and preserve every single precious element.

Using the manufacture of vacuum forming of ABS to a warming and circular shape.With a simple structure, it can not only preserve the gas-import hole more comprehensively, but also let the start of the Sense Diary more user-friendly. Most importantly, we add the rubber material into the technology device which was taken more frozen for granted.In this case,we can not only heat up the temperature of the Sense Diary, but also enjoy the visual effect of rubber moving up and down when recording smell.
