citroën launches Ultra Limited Edition My Ami Buggy

Back in December 2021, we reported on the world’s cutest EV off-roader—Citroën’s My Ami Buggy concept. Now, after an enthusiastic public response, the French carmaker is releasing an exclusive khaki green edition directly inspired by it.

Just 50 models of the summer-ready My Ami Buggy will be available to purchase from June 21st (tomorrow!) on the Citroën website. Each customer will have their own exclusive version as inside the vehicle, a ‘My Ami Buggy ULTRA SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION’ plate, numbered from 1 to 50, will be fitted on the right-hand side of the dashboard. The 50 buyers will also benefit from VIP home delivery from August 8th.

For this limited edition run, the main change Citroën has made is the color of the bodywork: from cool blue to khaki green. The new My Ami Buggy also looks more muscular with front and rear bumper reinforcements, front faceplate and light trims, wheel arches and rocker panels on the sides, and a rear spoiler.

Citroën has replaced the two doors with hinged metal tubes and swapped the roof window for a soft grey convertible top, a reference to the Mehari or the 2CV. This protective fabric is roll-uppable, of good density, waterproof and UV-treated in order to protect the driver and passenger from sunlight or bad weather. The soft top is attached all around the roof opening by means of snap fasteners. It can be rolled up and simply stored behind the seats.

In contrast to the khaki, the electric vehicle features pops of bright yellow both inside and out. The model also boasts black-tinted protective accessories and 14” perforated gold wheels with black decorative caps. Customers can even personalize the front plate to make the car even more their own. The Ultra Limited Edition My Ami Buggy starts from €9,790.
