this year, we’ve seen boston dynamics’ robots help doctors treat COVID-19 patients, remind people to socially distance, and even monitor construction progress. now, with 2020 coming to close, the robots are signing off in style with a dance party at the company’s HQ. in a new 3-minute video, which can be seen at the top of this page, the robots move in perfect time to the contours’ 1962 hit ‘do you love me’.

‘our whole crew got together to celebrate the start of what we hope will be a happier year,’ says boston dynamics in the description of the video. the movie, which has already clocked up more than 4.4 million views, showcases the moves of ‘spot’, the mobile robot designed for sensing, inspection, and remote operation, and ‘atlas’, the ‘world’s most dynamic humanoid’.
