a cheese and a laugh by adrian candela from usa

playful and simple, this design attempts to merge the value of heritage with a modern twist. the design utilizes two of the most iconic features of la vache qui rit: the triangle-shaped cheese wedges and the cow’s laughing smile. incorporating these features into the anniversary number “90” is inspired by the artwork of benjamin rabier, in which the artist often framed his characters within circular borders. a section of the cow’s horns as well as a wedge of cheese stick-out past the numbers’ edges to enhance the shapes and liven the design.
