graphic design places focus on visuals and images and not enough focus on other aspects of human experience such as sound. hence the question: what does the laughing cow sound like? the laughing cow utters a combination of laughing noises and 'moo's, that is expressed visually through onomatopoeia. A single black handwritten line on a white background gives the viewer freedom to create his/her own image of the laughing cow.
