brandbook launches their very own drehbuch by angela merle from germany
designer's own words:
the ‘drehbuch’("drehbuch" has a double meaning in german and is a play on words; meaning both "script" and "flip, or reversible book".) is as unusual as it is pretty, and consists of both black and white book parts. the ‘drehbuch’ is the ideal storage medium for anyone who works in the creative industry. It requires no electricity nor any updates, it doesn’t need to be booted up, and is just as good at graphic storage space as it is for storing text. here, positive thinkers can think, write and draw negatively. and those occasional sourpusses can discover their positive side. people who write or scribble do not only need a book with the right fit for them but they also need a fitting pen to go with it. that’s why the 'drehbuch' comes with a 'drehstift' ('drehpen') that can write in white on one side and in black on the other. a custom-made notebook, which stands out from the regular quagmire of notebooks, not only through unusual design (a z-shaped book cover is a rare novelty in our industry), but also through handcrafted care and elaborate finishing, the high quality materials and those little extras.
