Twisthandle

Twisthandle by betti unterlauf from germany

designer's own words:

i came up with the twisthandle by daily use at home with my doorhandles. a couple of weeks ago i moved into my new flat - the doorhandles felt like they were mounted upside down and simply not comfortable when i push them down and try to push the door open. thats what i was searching for: a simple and straight-lined shape which isn't too arty and not too tedious. the final idea came up while modelling with plasticine - the one twist my twisthandle it has is perfect to place your thumb. it looks edgy and a little rough but through its twist and the supporting surface for the palm its eyecandy and handcandy!
-unfortunately, my mac broke down so i had to improvise a little. all my pictures i took and my rendering got lost and couldn't be restored. therefore it looks a little cobbled. i'm sorry for that - basically please see the idea behind and not the visualization. thank you!
