frag by marton toth from hungary
designer's own words:
frag is a handle that looks like it's breaking apart. the basic idea was a simple form that
is being cut through by several planes, resulting in a fragmented look. the handle opens up
at one of the cracks, revealing the hidden scarlet (or other colored) faces, making the
handle look sliced into two parts. the basis of the handle stays in place, since it gets
fixed to the rose, and is built around the rotating part. the handle has a white finish making it look porcelain-like. the material of the handle is mostly plastic, but the hidden rotating element inside the base is made of brass.
