Arroba

Arroba by Gaurav Ahuja from india

designer's own words:

arroba or chiocciola is a widely used icon for the digital age in which we live. the concept of a door handle is inspired from this symbol. a door is a symbol of communication, a transition between two spaces and thus the door handle is a medium of communication/isolation.
keeping to the brief, its designed to be as simple as possible, its sculptural in the italian tradition and at the same time contemporary and unique. a rounded metal bar swung in a spiral manner over a cylinder with the standard door mechanism, the cylinder and the rose plate can be made from different colors giving a contrast with the metal bar itself and to match with the different Interior themes.
through its spiral form, it also signifies movement and a sense of mystery which enhances the overall emotional and sensory experience.
