designer's own words:

through a process of sketching, designs were evaluated by their functionality and aesthetic principles. the y handle reduces the amount of material required in a handle to a structural minimum. the main body of the grip is retained to fulfil ergonomic factors. the point where the handle meets the rose is also retained to provide an adequate fixing point. cast from brass, y’s body connects to a standard spring cassette inside a 50mm rose. a grub screw fixes to an 8mm spindle through the underside of the handle. available in a range of finishes.
