Tri Handle

Tri Handle by derek bennion from usa

designer's own words:

concept:
the triangular shape allows the door handle to be both pushed or pulled to unlock/open the door, which requires no turning of the wrist. since the handle sits lower than most, small children can easily reach the handle and pull it down from the bottom to open the door.
the handle tapers in width from the top to the bottom, making the bottom end of the handle smaller and easier to grab for kids.
comfort:
you may not realize it, but there is another thing that makes this door handle easy to use. as you’re walking, your hands will naturally be in position to grab the handle due to its angle and vertical stance. now just simply push down or pull up on the handle to unlock and open the door.
