arKitec by elena enrique from spain
designer's own words:
the arKitec door handle was inspired in architectural and urban places, alike the ones created for the hotel puerta america, in madrid, by the plasma studio.
about its fabrication, it would be made by smelting stainless steel with a satin finish. this process has been taken into consideration at the moment of creating the design, so there are no sharply closed angles and they can be easily extracted from the cast. another fabrication process to economize costs could be folding the plate and then welding it. this material helps to create the edges of the design, giving it its own aggressiveness and personality, its prime characteristics.
