the "dipit" project is about interacting with door handles and at the same time lowering manufacturing costs. the skin-like layer of soft plastic protects the walls, has a nice feel and offers many fun colour possibilities. the dipping process also covers a rather rough and barely sandblasted chunk of metal which needs less time for processing and makes it less expensive to manufacture.
