throughout history, the knot has been a powerful symbol and the subject of many tales, myths and expressions, for example the story of the gordian knot. for some people like scouts and mountaineers, tying knots is even a form of art. in this design, the knotted door handle conveys the meaning of a closed entrance, that can only be opened by “untying the knot” i.e. pulling the door handle. its design translates easily into an elegant product series including a doorknob and pull. executed in chromed brass.
