LORE / A handle to accept from every behavior

LORE / A handle to accept from every behavior by ryo shimizu from japan

designer's own words:

Design development via considering a handle shaped to fit the grip.
streamlines or curved surfaces look like easy-Grip Shape,
but door handles are not always grasped in fact.

Pushing down with palm or back of the hand,
Pushing down with elbow while holding a package,
There are various ways to open the door with handles.

I designed a full-flat surfaced shape
in making a thorough investigation of easy-Grip.
It would be an appropriate form to accept to your every behavior.

I reached a conclusion that
an angle of 47˚30' degrees is the best inclined plane,
after a lot of reviews with full scale paper models and investigations.

As a sequel to configuration of an inclined plane,
I actualized a beautiful forming and thinner than an existing handles.

I reconsidered and proposed a new shaft adjusted thickness and length,
for secure strength to fit thinner handle.

And I express an existence as Door handles,
by developing color variations.
