the market research found a failure on the offer of knobs for users with limitations of movements caused by arthritis and other diseases that could impede the movement of upper limbs.
the materials chosen for the knob grip were the cork – as the main element – and stainless steel.
We chose the cork because it is an ecological material and socially responsible material.
the stainless steel is not only used for aesthetical form to emphasize the aspect of cork, but also for the brak of union between the two knobs and the door gets together. Being the both pieces measures of section identical and because they are lubrificated, the user just has to do a little bit of pressure to the pieces get fit together and result from the proper functioning of movement of the knob grib.
the knob has the following dimensions: length 110mm and 100 mm wide with a depth of 50 mm and whose final form arrival is a reduced scale of 0.5 on the initial starting image.
