Door handle with a twist by stina holm jensen from denmark

the door handle is designed as an individual student project, which took its point of departure in a traditional urban housing block in aalborg, denmark.

the attached pictures show the original wooden model, which was carved by hand while gradually adapting the model to the curves of the hand. in the same pictures one can see a prototype which is sand casted in aluminium. the whole process was done manually, which has resulted in a product with a high level of ergonomic qualities combined with a refined, yet dynamic expression.
