designer's own words:

the idea behind the handle "01" is to reduce and minimize the handle to a thin and not intrusive object.
existing door handles mostly have a large volume. even if you try to reduce it, on one part it is needed: the part were the standard mechanic pin transports the rotation to the lock.
this door handle goes exactly here a different way: the handle is thin even on that point. the handle part is hold (with two set screws) by a ring inside the rosette. here inside the screwed ring allows the handle to guide in a track. this track is implemented into the part which holds then whole door handle on the door. here comes the standard mechanic which is just is slightly modified and fits into the rosette.

all parts are made from aluminum die casting which allows a precise fitting and hight stability for all four parts.

in the end the handle "01" is a iconic object with a high recognition.

handle01. a new icon for door handles.

01_persp.jpg the shape speaks a clear language: iconic and simple.

01_side_front.jpg the handle itself is thin a possible but still enough to press the handle comfortably.

01_explode.jpg the exploded view shows the construction of the handle.

01_cut.jpg the cut shows how the parts are fitting together.

01_top_front.jpg although the handle comes with an impossible shape: the used standard parts just need to be slightly modified.
