id on handle

id on handle by Maximiliano Dajtscher from argentina

designer's own words:

currently, brand identity is a very important issue in the world, and hotels are not an exception. we can see it in hotel environments where we are overwhelmed by the company logo all around us, from the bath towel to the blankets where we sleep and the coffee cups, all this directed to a customization of the site and objects.

hotels are a particular environment with some unique uses, such as leaving a message posted on the door handle when we do not want to be disturbed.

these observations led to the design of id on handle , a product conceived and designed to be customized and to provide brand identity to all the room handles in the hotel.

with an interchangeable piece, the company inserts its own logo on each handle. the design revolves around this piece, highlighting the rank and importance of the brand display.
through a simple system, when the handle rotates, the logo is fixed in position and present all the time.

the design was also meant to emphasize an area specifically devoted to the usage situation of the hanger. this is achieved by means of a piece that is easily differentiated in the product through the material, shape and color, while at the same time, it generates a functional integration between the handle and its housing.

pure and simple morphology with first class product details was used to achieve premium class, through a combination of high tech materials and shapes.

given the trends in hotel interior design, a universal aesthetic was applied so as to extend the range of hotels that can buy the product, allowing an easy adaptation and at the same time, providing the necessary differentiation by means of the customization applied by each company.
