founder of jet capsule, pierpaolo lazzarini has designed the ‘linux’ vehicle, naming it after the widely known open source software. after partnering with dubai based company, architaly, the designer came up with the sustainable capsule concept that can upgrade and adapt to specific mobility needs.

expected to be launched by 2021, the project will be completely ‘open source’, offering companies and clients the possibility to participate in the development of the upgrades and the vehicle itself. in this way, pierpaolo lazzarini invites fellow designers to join him in the new futuristic mobility approach.
linux with electromagnetic self-leveling suspension/hull
the main linux capsule, which measures 4 meters in length and 1,90 in width, can be basically adapted to four different kinds of sailing. these include: the basic hull (LOA 5.50 meters-4 persons), the foil version (LOA 5.50 meters-4 persons), the mono hull, with electromagnetic self-leveling suspension (LOA 6 meters-6 persons), and the catamaran hull, with pneumatic suspension (LOA 6 meters-6 persons).
linux with retractable foils system
compatible with various outboard engines, the marine versions of the linux will be available with single or twin electric torqeedo deep blue 100i (135 hp single – 270 hp twin) with a 30 knts of maximum speed and an estimated autonomy from 4 to 8 hours. linux can also be attached to an all-wheel base, for driving, with single or twin electric siemens engines (with power ranges from 100 hp or 200 hp with 150 km or 300 km of autonomy, respectively). the same lightened carbon chassis, will be adapted for flying, by installing 8 multi rotors. in this case, in order to limit the weight of the construction, the passenger capacity will necessarily decrease to 2 persons maximum.
