hand in handle

hand in handle by Luigi Di Bella from italy

designer's own words:

The project starts from the intention of reading the concept as "hands in door handles" (instead of 'on'), hence to reverse something we got used to.

The purpose is a "surrounding handle", capable of different approaches. You can enclose your fist, push the shape from the top or simply drag the handle from any point (the lower, the easier) whit just one finger; in this way even a child could reach the handle easily or perhaps a person on wheelchair and so on.

The handle's particular shape offers lots of different approaches up to the user (you could even use your elbow or a stick!).
