visual display combines a concept clothing store with a stylish cocktail bar in milan

in a city that is synonymous with both fashion and cocktails, it seems befitting that slowear venezia’s latest outpost brings the two together under one roof. designed by italian studio visual display, slowear18 is a new retail experience located in the heart of milan, which combines a mixology bar & café with a clothing store.

enclosed amid the thick walls and arches of a classic building in milan, the interior by visual display is characrterized by defined shapes and bold colors. the floor is made in green resin, while the walls dissolve from a warm white to gray, interrupted by turquoise transparencies and ultramarine blue curtains. the three large arches on the façade leave the space completely open towards the city, offering passersby a glimpse of inside.

the bar counter completes the space. also formed in green resin, it’s offset with brass details and boasts a dramatic backdrop of turquoise mirrors, which supports the large bottle display, while at the same time reflecting all the details of the store.

during the day the two functions of slowear18 live harmoniously together, then from 7 to 9.30 pm, the space and the furnishings transform into a stylish mixology bar. the main feature of the space is the ‘theater machine’ in the center of the floor plan. during the day this serves as a product exhibit system and chandelier, while in the evening, it drops down to become a display case and bar counter for patrons. 

offering a fine selection of spirits and drinks around the theme of the typical italian aperitivo, the bar also serves a gourmet cicchetteria in honor of the venetian origins of the brand. moreover, slowear18 will feature an exclusive franciacorta bar that will offer a wide selection of typologies and labels by franciacorta, the prestigious sparkling wine that stands for italian excellence and style.
