this is a piece of lighting with hand carved wooden shells and LEDs.
the shells were shaped with a lathe, carved and sanded by hand to realise their delicate asymmetrical forms.
although it uses high-tech LEDs, this lighting looks friendly and authentic, gives a warm and relaxing atmosphere in the room.
this comes from the character of the materials and from the gentle bulbous contours of the shells formed by hand.
it makes an illuminated spot on a table so that people around the table feel closer and intimate, have a good conversation at a dinner time.

the lamps are hung on a balance and on the other side of the balance, you can hang a vase with flowers for decorating the table. the height of the lamps is changeable by moving the position of the vase or the amount of water in the vase.
the shells are made of wood, illuminate both upwards and downwards but hide the light sources not to make annoying glare. you can see a part of the inner side of the wooden shell beautifully illuminated depending on the angle you see
