COFFEE TABLES FOR MODERN PEOPLE WITH MODERN SOFAS AND NEEDS.
IDEA: to consider every day activities in a sofa and to make these activities easier for the user.
KEY WORDS: functionality - flexibility - humour -simplicity
FOCUS: to create a visually simple and sympathetic design that, due to subtle
references to a dog, immediately calls for a positive emotional reaction from spectators and potential buyers.
FUNCTION: laptop - meals - drinks/snacks etc.
little FIDO is allowed to stay in the sofa as a side table and can be used as a tray table as well. Big FIDO stays on the floor “resting it’s head” on the sofa seat and thereby offering an easy accessible surface for whoever is sitting/resting in the sofa.
MATERIALS: Big FIDO: Elm wood/veneer, ash wood/veneer and MDF. Little FIDO: MDF with a soft touch polyurethane coating.
