although squeezable toothpaste tubes are made from plastic, they are difficult to recycle and it is unusual for them to be collected as part of recycling collection schemes. to overcome this, vince and medicoff have come up with a tablet design that users chew before brushing as normal. the plastic-free toothpaste contains mostly natural ingredients as well as some of the familiar elements found in traditional toothpaste like dicalcium phosphate and xylitol.

starting off as a small home-based business selling at farmers’ markets and in online stores, the founders now want to expand. they have launched a campaign that has already exceeded its $10k goal and will go toward outfitting their lab to handle fluoride; that way they can offer a fluoridated version of the toothpaste tabs.
