designer's own words:

Drop coffee press is an attempt to rediscover the french coffee press. My approach has been to investigate the cultural ritual of coffee-making while using up to date materials and electronics.

Discovering faults and problems with the existing, I soon saw a great deal of potential for the coming. The main concept is roughly explained a double filter press system, that makes the user able to compress the coffee. making handling it to the garbage a pleasant job. Instead of poring it down the drain where its green potential only will cause problems instead of sustainability.

The more technical aspects of drop is the production methods and materials that are intended. The borosilicate glass used in the container are of the highest quality, making it rigid against rapid heating.

Round the glass container runs a ribbon of baby bamboo, customized to its use, functioning as both a insulator and handle. All components of the press filters are made in industrial ceramics, fulfilling modern standards of taste and hygiene.

Resting underneath lies a black soap stone, intergraded with top modern kinetic heat energy, giving you the freedom and effectiveness of rapid and secure heating.
