sustainable packaging biodegradeble by teksin acikgoz from turkey
designer's own words:
“Waste is the outcome of bad design.”
Packages should not be used once and last forever in the dump areas. Zero-waste is a sustainable packaging system for fragile products. It is an alternative for wasteful cardboard + expanded polystyrene packages.
Zero-waste packages are composed of hemp textile and standard biodegradable foam units made of agricultural wastes. Geometry of these units enables them to join together like a puzzle and build boxes or rolls with the hemp. Reusing these packages will be fun, still when you are done with them, you can just call the service and take your deposit back. These will be reused in the production of new zero-waste packages without any material processing and energy loss.
