designer's own words:
“KAKI AYAM” is a Malaysia language Idiom, which means barefooted. The name itself is related to the language which is widely spoken in Malaysia. “KAKI AYAM”
is about a brand and packaging to promote the Malaysian Traditional game.
“KAKI AYAM” involves designing and packaging traditional toys and then advertising them to avoid them by being extinct especially in Asia and Southeast Asia. Traditional game have existed for god knows how many years. They are not objects or toys for entertainment, they are also a way of expressing art. However, in this project traditional game will be reintroduced for the generations today, by including an illustrated design instructions menu and interactive but yet simple packaging to target and to primarily appeal younger audience such as teenagers and people in their mid twenties. The aim of the project is to design a green, simple low budget but yet a fun product and packaging to change people’s perception about Malaysian traditional games.
