The design presented for this competition is a resizable eco-friendly lunch box which can transform into a shuffle enable mp3 player. As an additional feature it is presented together with a Bluetooth earphone which has fork and spoon attached to it.

The main concept of this design is transformation, portability, fun and environmental friendly. The designed proposed has a fun way of using the lunchbox yet encourages the users to be environmentally friendly. It is designed to encourage the mass toward living a healthier lifestyle and to show that being green consumer may be no more than a chic gesture.

The target customers for this particular product is composed of young adults, and particularly educated, financially secure women, because the finest green clients have thick wallets. The fact also point that eco advertising is generally addressed to female customers.

The proposed material for this product is Polypropylene (PP), which is very lightweight material and biodegradable. It is also well known for its durability and efficiency. This material has been the priority of the designer due to the folding mechanism adapted in the design of this lunch box. The Polypropylene enables multi folding. This particular material can be used to produce very thin yet durable layers.

The designer has adapted the folding mechanism to reduce the size of the lunch box to minimal state when it is not in use as lunchbox. This also increases the portability of the lunch box which is the main concern of the current young adult users.

At the same time the ability to transform the lunch box into a shuffle enable mp3 player makes it as daily used object instead of a lunch box and the users can detach the mp3 player at any point of time to use It to pack their meals in the food outlets or from home Itself.

The designer strongly thinks that through this design the amount of waste accumulated daily through food industry can be reduced at large. The design provides an efficient packaging solution, easy portability and light weight which in turn also reduces the usage of use and throw packaging which is widely used in the food industry now a days.
