One box, one chair

One box, one chair by sungun chang from usa

designer's own words:

One box, One chair is a design about reusing boxes used for packaging and get disposed. Unlike currently prevalent designs that require deconstruction of box’s original structure, my design maintains the initial shape of a box, because i think a box as a whole already has a good structure to be a chair. All users need to do is simply push one corner of the box in to the arch shape of pre-exisiting folding line. Since the original structure of a box is maintained, users can easily convert a chair back in to a box when necessary. For instance, a student can use a box as a chair when she is living in a dorm and use it as a container when whe is moving out.
