real wood hamac chair

real wood hamac chair by samuel bernier made in quebec from canada

designer's own words:

The chair is made using specific branches of the tree instead of cutting it completely. They are cut in short pieces before drilling holes in them. The short logs are knitted together in a carpet shape. A branch in the shape of the desired seat is chosen and then split in half to become the structure of the seat. Hemp rope is used to attach the chair between two trees, walls, poles... etc. Depending of the quantity and length of the collected branches, different sizes of furniture can be produce. Every chair is unique, cheap, beautiful and extremely comfortable.
