Inspired by the whimsical motifs which appear on many Hermes tie patterns, I began to wonder how I could take that and apply it to a tie design which embodies the themes of adventure and exploration. My solution is the 21st century cowboy tie which depicts a cowboy riding a rocket ship, our generations update to the horses that traditional cowboys used to carve out a place for themselves in the unexplored parts of the world. Combining technology with tradition in this way allowed me to create an original pattern which allows people to be reminded of the adventurous spirit that resides in all of us in a light-hearted way.
