designer's own words:

It is clear that the direct consequence of our development as species is exactly the exhaustion and destruction of the nature as we call it today global warming. The most optimistic establish a period of 70-100 years to be a lot more visible the effects of this devastating phenomenon although already today are being observed the first warning signs. One of the most worrying effects of this problem is that the border that separates what is water and what is defined as land is increasingly more blurry. Although we cannot forget that in places where once there was water today they remain sterile lands. Looking into this situation it is clear that our lifestyle and our way to plan our settlements are indisputably erroneous for lack of forecast.

Is not so absurd then, to think that we have to begin to live in amphibious constructions that could be adapted to both situations, in total presence of water and total absence of it. In other words connection and disconnection, or full provision and self-sufficiency, the new wireless living.

On the other hand the substantial change of our era with relation to the previous ones has been the increasingly growing impact of technology in our world. Till now, the design and its location in our exterior environment have followed completely utilitarian criteria creating a new landscape. This completely artificial landscape resembles with its intrinsic beauty of chaos to a forest that defines and furnishes the image of our public space. On the contrary in our indoor world, we can find each time more examples of designed esthetic and beautiful technology that arranged in a much studied way builds up our own personal image. It is in the sphere of the personal, almost intimate, where there is an exquisite care in the appearance of our environment, the laptop, the I phone, etc...

Each time we find more and more people socially aware with this problem and not in vain it has begun to be promoted a new way of life... The Eco living.

The fundamental question to which we arrive in this point: It seems to be easy, but... Is it beautiful to be sustainable?

I villa is the first prototype of a e-cool-ogical living.
