CASE-REAL suspends clothes on V-shaped metal racks at the côte à côte boutique

for the côte à côte boutique, CASE-REAL has drawn from the architectural features of its location, a shopping arcade characterized by an arched ceiling in toyama, japan. the store is defined by a series of V-shaped metal rack hangers, which are aligned on the entire ceiling and carry merchandise, which incudes items from classical to contemporary and emerging clothing brands.all images by daisuke shima

CASE-REAL has kept the overall atmosphere of côte à côte simple, with white stucco walls at the base of the design that function as a backdrop to showcase selected items. taking center stage at the 4.8-meter-high space, the V shaped hanger racks suspend clothing while concealing elements such as line and spot lights and air conditioning which are carefully organized along with the layout of the hangers.

on its exterior, the boutique is characterized by a white, softly curved façade that leads from the arcade to the interior. distinctly different from the surrounding storefronts, which mainly feature all-glass window displays, the shop maintains a certain distance from the arcade, creating a stronger impression to visitors.
