Trade Your Diamonds for Crystal and Feed the Children by Jeffrey Koopersmith from italy
designer's own words:
If SWAROVSKI wants to get serious, and more important bag 70-125 million in free media it should simply put this sign up at every store. Simply, they take people's old diamonds. Sell them either at auction or into the marketplace (they may even get some cooperation from the big diamond brokers) The owner brings in the stone -the stone is shipped to a contractor hired by SWAROVSKI. SWAROVSKI ships the donor a crystal of equal size - or just a crystal "trophy" citing the donation along with a value for IRS so the donor can write off the charitable contribution. I would not be surprised to see many many people with old loose stones or old discarded rings doing this. More than this - SWAROVSKI will be doing something so desperately needed their brand will be linked with providing food for the poorest of the poor. The execs might feel great about that. Thus all I did was design the sign. That's all they need up front - the rest is all back room stuff that can be done my employees and their contractor. The contractor/appraiser/probably buyer should pay for the overhead and deduct it from his gross.
